WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Allyson Green was born in Lakewood, Wa on March 17, 1983. She rode her first horse at the age of 5. She received her basics at a Hunter/Jumper barn until the age of 7 when her parents bought her first horse, Nattaroo. Allyson eventually competed Nattaroo through Preliminary in the sport of Three Day Eventing. She competed in her first horse trials at the age of 9, and has since been an event rider.
Realizing that the horses were not a phase her parents bought Green Hills Farm in 1995 where they lived and trained out through 2017. Throughout her early years as a Young Rider, the family flew in Jim Graham to teach clinics at their farm. She also cliniced with Bruce Davidson, Sally O’Connor, Nick Holmes-Smith, David and Karen O’Connor, Jeremy Beal, Bob McDonald and Richard Piken.
LIFE AS A GROOM FOR OLYMPIC RIDER, AMY TRYON
Allyson started working for Amy Tryon in 2002. As Amy’s first working student, she continued to work for Amy until her passing in 2012. She was a coach, mentor, friend and role model. She was fortunate enough to travel east and to California with Amy for many years to compete her own horses while maintaining her position as groom for Amy while she was training with the US team. She groomed for Amy at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games, 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Burghley, Blenheim, Gatcombe, Blair Castle, Fair Hill, Fox Hall and numerous Kentucky Three-day’s. During her time with Amy, Allyson realized her passion was in teaching, bringing up young horses and watching her clients be successful. She still takes regular lessons, clinics and competes to keep improving her own riding.
WHERE ALLYSON IS NOW
In 2017 she moved to Snohomish, WA where she is relocating to continue her riding and teaching. As she no longer has aspirations to compete nationally or have horses at the top level, she is able to focus all of her time and knowledge on producing young horses and giving her clients personalized programs. She loves the process and is excited to be able to focus her energy on this new endeavor. She aspires to have safe, competitive and confident clients and horses at any level with exceptional horsemanship.
Allyson lives by the mentality that no goal is too small and the small details matter.

A NOTE FROM ALLYSON
Over the years I have always had the same goal - to ride to the best of my ability, to ride to the highest level I am capable of, to be competitive wherever I compete, and to be the best horseman I can be. I was taught that if I wasn’t positive that my horses and I were more than prepared and capable of being competitive at that level, I should not be riding at that level. As I have regrouped, refocused and relocated my life and business, I am now more motivated than ever to achieve those same goals, but for my clients.
I love to see my clients succeed as much as I love to compete and though I don’t have the same competition aspirations personally, I still strive to be the best rider I can be, as competitive as I can be, the best horseman I can be and the most prepared.
I have a desire to make sure that my clients are the most prepared, confident and competitive on relaxed horses whether they are adult amateurs or young riders. I want to build my clientele with clients who want a program from start to finish regardless of your level. You are never too good to be a better horseman and learn new pieces to add to your program. I am not in a hurry and will make sure that nothing is missed including ground work with any age of horse or rider.
